The World Economic Forum (WEF) is inviting applications for its Early Career Program in 2024. For the past two decades, the Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) has dedicated efforts to develop and inspire leaders worldwide, encouraging them to extend their impact beyond individual professional success to contribute significantly to the society and the planet. The YGL program focuses on engaging leaders committed to promoting sustainable and forward-looking business practices, next-generation political leaders fostering a peaceful and prosperous shared future, and influential change-makers in social, cultural, artistic, civil, and academic fields. The goal is to mobilize these enterprising leaders collectively to build a more sustainable and inclusive world for all.
Requirements
Preferred qualification and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Interest and experience in program and project management, leadership development, and community management.
- Experience in writing for a professional audience, digital publishing, and/or content creation.
Desired skills
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, with excellent professional writing skills.
- Digital native comfortable with collaboration tools, proficient in MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software (database management experience an asset).
- Team player and creative self-starter with strong attention to detail and outstanding relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation and administration of a new community membership structure.
- Developing a new community peer mentorship program.
- Refining the YGL Alumni Community onboarding process.
- Developing topic and subject-focused online groups for YGL networking and collaboration using TopLink, the digital community platform.
