The Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation (AIG) is offering emerging African public sector leaders with a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive transformative change. Developed in collaboration with the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, the program offers an immersive executive education experience led by global public policy experts.
The program is designed to help senior public leaders and those stepping into leadership roles in the public sector within the next three to seven years. It focuses on quickly mastering various new skills, providing participants with a unique chance to develop both the theoretical concepts and practical tools necessary to tackle the challenges of today’s fast-changing and complex world.
The experience is intense and demanding, involving classroom discussions, practical exercises, simulations, and group work. Its goal is to equip participants with the skills required to create positive, effective, and ethical cultures within the public institutions they lead. The success of the participants directly benefits their respective countries.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizens of any African country actively working within the public sector in Africa.
- Minimum of seven years of working experience.
- Grade-level 12 and above.
- Must not exceed 50 years of age.
Program Details
Live Classes: The program kicks off with four days of live online classes, followed by a day for meetings with faculty.
Online Learning: The next four weeks involve self-paced online learning facilitated by Teaching Assistants.
Residential Program: A demanding one-week residential program in Abuja with Blavatnik School faculty teaching live at the venue and via video.
Project Development: Participants will have time to develop their capstone projects after the residential week.
Project Review: The final part includes a review of the projects and closing activities.

- Friday, 23 February 2024: Applications Open.
- Tuesday, 30 April 2024: Applications Close.
- May 2024: Stage 1 – Computer-Based Tests.
- 2nd week June 2024: Stage 2 – Essays Submission.
- 4th week June 2024: Stage 3 – Video Interview.
- August 2024: Final Selection.
- October 2024: Program Commencement.
