Restless Development is seeking 12 talented young photographers (aged 18-24) from around the globe to join the movement to end violence against children. Through powerful photo-essays, you will help disrupt perceptions and highlight the importance of creating safe environments for children and young people. Restless Development will be partnering with Conference co-hosts such as the World Health Organization, government of Colombia, government of Sweden, UNICEF and UN Special Representative on ending violence, to connect Ministers with young people’s realities
Requirements
- Young creatives aged 18-24 from all regions of the world.
- Produce a photo-essay depicting what “safe” feels like to you and/or other children and young people in your community.
- One striking ‘hero’ image from each participant will be featured in the final exhibition at the Global Ministerial Conference in Colombia.

- All submissions will be reviewed by an expert panel of photojournalists, media editors, violence survivors, campaigners, and young people.
