The NDDC Post-Graduate Foreign Scholarships Programme is designed to provide young individuals with relevant training and skills to participate effectively in the Federal Government’s local content program and to compete globally in various professional fields. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is launching this scholarship program to enhance Human Resource Development in the Niger Delta region.
The scholarship is available for suitably qualified applicants with Bachelor’s Degrees from recognized Universities in the following disciplines:
- Agricultural Science
- Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Geosciences
- Information Technology
- Medical Sciences
- Law
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be from the Niger Delta Region.
- Applicants must have achieved a First Class, Second Class Upper, or Lower Division Bachelor’s Degree.
- Applicants must not be more than 40 years old.
Selection Process
- Initial Application: Interested candidates must submit an online application via the Commission’s Website.
- Preliminary Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on WASSCE/NECO results, Undergraduate Degree classification, and Local Government Identification.
- Computer-Based Test: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a computer-based test conducted by the Commission’s consultants in Rivers State. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to proceed to the next stage.
- Further Shortlisting: Candidates who pass the test will be further shortlisted.
- Final Verification: The final verification of candidates will be done through the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee (CDC).
Scholarship Details
- The amount for the foreign scholarship will be based on the prevailing exchange rate of the Naira.
